What is the Sunflower Club?

As part of our aim to spread a little sunshine, raise awareness about us and to raise funds, we set up our Sunflower Club in 2023, inviting families and individuals to pay a fee to join and enjoy the experience of growing their own sunflowers. We have now extended this to include a group membership, paid for through sponsorship.

All members are also entitled to enter our Tallest Sunflower competition, where prizes will be awarded for the first, second and third tallest sunflowers grown. Your pack will contain all the information you need to know on how to enter, and prizes will be revealed on our Instagram page later in the year.

What is Group Membership?

Group membership is available to any school class or community group who want to grow their own sunflowers, either as a group activity or individually at home, or both! Group Membership packs are available for classes / groups of 30, 60, 90 or 120 members, and can be posted to anywhere in the UK.

Every group pack contains:

•    Teacher / group leader resource sheets

•    A pack of 60 Sunflower Seeds*

•    A sheet of stickers*

•    A flyer and pack of 10 seeds for each child to take home

 

*Depending on group size. Typically 60 seeds per 30 members for a group planting activity, and enough stickers for one each.

When should we join the Sunflower Club?

Sunflower seeds are generally best planted between March and May, so it's a good idea to sign up as early as you can within that period. The tallest sunflower competition closes on 15th September.

How much does Group Membership cost?

Group Membership is free to the group or class. Membership is paid for through sponsorship. It costs £30 to sponsor membership for a group or class of 30. It's £50 for a group of 60, £70 for a group of 90 and £90 for a group of 120.

How can I sponsor Group Membership?

Any individual or business can sponsor group membership by filling in the sponsor's form below and paying the relevant donation (by PayPal or bank transfer). Your name will then appear as the sponsor on the group flyers.

Can I sponsor a specific class or group?

Yes! If you want to sponsor a specific class or group that you have a connection with, just list them on the form below. Please also encourage the teacher or group leader to apply, so that we can tie the two together. If you do not have a specific group in mind, then we'll use your sponsorship against a suitable group application - giving priority to any in your area.
